There will not be a 2021 Fiction From the Heartland Contest however, the 2022 Fiction From the Heartland (FFTH) Contest will open August 1, 2022.

Entries and payments for the 2021 FFTH Contest are due no later than 11:59 pm CT on October 1, 2022. Enter using the form below and you must upload your entry document using the uploader below the form.

The finalist judges for this contest are still being finalized and will be announced on this page and the MARA social media accounts as soon as they are complete. Please note that MARA reserves the right to make changes to this list as needed. These agents and editors will read and judge the entries that final in the Fiction from the Heartland Contest.
